Whose Google account does Moatrics use?

Yours. You sign in with Google when you connect, and Moatrics writes as that account. The spreadsheet stays in your Drive, owned by you.

Can I use a spreadsheet I already have?

Yes. Choose “Connect an existing one” and paste its link or ID. Moatrics adds its report tabs and leaves your other tabs alone.

Will it overwrite my data?

No. Moatrics only writes into its own report tabs. If a tab with the report's name already holds something else, it stops and tells you instead of writing over it.

Can the same spreadsheet hold several brands?

Each brand connects its own spreadsheets, but you can connect the same one to several brands; give each report its own tab name.

Disconnect the spreadsheet from the brand's Spreadsheets page, or remove Moatrics's access from your Google account's security settings. The spreadsheet and everything in it stays yours.

Connecting

A new spreadsheet, or one you already use

Create or connect
On a brand's Spreadsheets page, “Create new spreadsheet”, or “Connect an existing one” and paste its link.

Sign in with Google
Allow Moatrics to write to your spreadsheets. It keeps writing as your account from then on.

Add reports
One per account: daily, weekly (starting on the day you choose) or monthly. Each gets its own tab.

Good to know

How the writing works

Reports are written every morning, after the numbers refresh; “Sync now” writes one straight away.
Only completed periods are written, so figures don't change under the people reading them.
A period already in the tab is updated in place, never added twice.
If Google refuses a write, the report says why and the Spreadsheets page shows it.
